  I aim to produce consistent and accurate, well-presented and carefully researched high-quality translations into my German mother tongue. My translations reflect my outstanding assets in terms of academic training, expertise and experience to date.

  I accept source texts either as hard copy via post/fax or electronically via e-mail in the following file formats:

  The range of language services which I offer not only encompasses pure translation, but also

  • Checking and revision of translations (cross-comparison of translations against the source text in terms of accuracy or appropriateness and in view of the translation's purpose)
  • Editing of monolingual texts (reviewing of texts without comparing them against the source text)
  • Revision of translations produced by non-native speakers
  • Evaluation of translations
  • Post-editing of machine translations

    Please note that post-editing machine translations - especially raw machine translations ('Raw MT') as opposed to use of the much more sophisticated PEMT technique - is generally more time-consuming than producing a professional translation from scratch. However if the product of your machine-produced translation on the whole is usable, I am available to post-edit the text as appropriate to make it fit for commercial use.
